Technical Visit to the Kalekim Factory: On-Site Examination of Marketing and Production Processes

Students from the Marketing and Advertising Department at Balıkesir Vocational School participated in a technical visit to the Kalekim factory, located in the Balıkesir Organized Industrial Zone, on May 14, 2026. The visit was led by Department Head Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Can Tokmak, Deputy Department Head Lecturer Nevin Polat, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Fulya Güngör, providing students with the opportunity to gain practical insights into processes ranging from production to marketing strategies.

The visit began with a briefing by Senior Specialist of Finance and Administrative Affairs, Murat Baysura, who covered the corporate structure of the Kale Group, Kalekim's areas of operation, the technical specifications of the Balıkesir facility, sustainable production approaches, environmental policies, and quality assurance processes. Following this, Senior Specialist of Customer Services, Can Çelik, delivered a presentation focused on marketing and brand management. The presentation addressed critical contemporary business topics, including brand strategies, marketing communication, community building, the "Kalekim Master Club" (Kalekim Usta Kulübü) initiatives, data and community management, customer relationship management (CRM), experiential and relational marketing, and shifting market dynamics.

Subsequently, the students toured the production, quality control, and technical departments, guided by Murat Baysura, Can Çelik, and Occupational Health and Safety Specialist Uğurberk Ünal. During the inspection, the students observed the production areas for powdered chemical products—such as ceramic adhesives, joint fillers, and waterproofing and thermal insulation materials—as well as paint manufacturing units. Detailed information was provided regarding the rigorous occupational health and safety measures applied throughout the production process. Additionally, the students gained insights into inventory management, logistics processes, and supply chain applications within the factory's warehouse facilities.

The technical visit concluded with a lunch hosted at the factory and a commemorative group photo. The Marketing and Advertising Department of Balıkesir Vocational School extends its gratitude to the Kalekim officials for their warm hospitality and valuable contributions to the students' learning experience.
