Student Engagement: Discussions on Education and Career Planning
Our department hosted a Q&A session with first and second-year students to discuss semester courses and overall educational processes. The meeting was attended by Department Head Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Can Tokmak, Asst. Prof. Dr. Fulya Güngör, and Deputy Department Head Lecturer Nevin Polat.
During the event, the academic staff addressed students' questions regarding their coursework and academic progression. Furthermore, student feedback—including complaints and suggestions—was recorded and compiled for presentation to the student council. General information regarding the current semester's curriculum and departmental procedures was also shared.
As part of the session, guidance on career planning was provided through materials prepared by the Presidency’s Human Resources Office. Students received detailed information about the Career Gate (Kariyer Kapısı) platform, the e-Human Resources system, and the National Internship Program (Ulusal Staj Programı).
This interaction between students and faculty aimed to foster a productive environment for both academic development and future career planning.
