Marketing Students Participate in Technology and Entrepreneurship Panel

Our first and second-year students from the Marketing and Advertising Department at Balıkesir Vocational School attended the BaunTECH Talks event, organized by the Balıkesir University Technology Development Zone (Balıkesir Teknokent). The program featured participation from Department Head Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Can Tokmak and Deputy Department Head Lecturer Nevin Polat.

During the event, İrem Bayraktar Aksakal, a Board of Trustees member of the Turkey Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation) and Coordinator of the T3 Entrepreneurship Center, shared key insights into Turkey’s technology vision, the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and the pivotal role young people play in this transformation throughout her presentation, "The National Technology Initiative and Entrepreneurship."

Following the address, Balıkesir University Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu and Balıkesir Teknokent General Manager Lecturer Burcu Aydemir presented a commemorative gift to İrem Bayraktar Aksakal. The event continued with a panel titled "From Idea to Impact: Women’s Power in Science, Technology, and Management," which highlighted the vital roles women play in these sectors.

The program proved to be a valuable experience for our students, fostering greater awareness in the fields of technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
