Marketing Program Transitions to the 3+1 Vocational Education Model
The Marketing Program at Balıkesir University’s Balıkesir Vocational School is preparing to transition to the 3+1 Vocational Education model, effective from the 2026-2027 academic year. This model aims to reinforce students' theoretical knowledge with practical experience, making the educational process more effective and industry-oriented.
Under the 3+1 Vocational Education model, students will complete their theoretical coursework on campus for three semesters, followed by one full semester of applied training at partner businesses. Through this approach, students will gain professional experience and establish direct contact with the industry prior to graduation.
As part of the preparations within the Marketing Program, curricula are currently being updated, with new course content developed in line with industry requirements and various adjustments made to existing courses. Furthermore, the program is incorporating feedback from both faculty and students to foster a more efficient and sustainable educational structure.
The new model aims to increase students' employability, strengthen their professional competencies, and ensure graduates are better equipped for the workforce. Through the 3+1 Vocational Education model, which reinforces an application-oriented approach to learning, the Balıkesir Vocational School Marketing Program seeks to prepare its students more robustly for the business world of the future.
