Marketing Program Students Connect with Industry Leaders at 50th Anniversary Events

As part of the 50th-anniversary celebrations of Balıkesir University’s Balıkesir Vocational School, a panel discussion and career fair brought together students and industry representatives. Students from the Marketing Program actively participated in the event, attending panel sessions and visiting company booths to establish direct contact with the business world.

During the panel, experienced professionals shared their knowledge and insights with the students. The panel featured several notable speakers, including Marketing Program alumnus (Class of 2001) and Advisory Board member Hasan İçöz, who serves as the Branch Manager of Garanti Bank Anafartalar. Other panelists included Mert Kurşun, Betül Kurşun, Ebru Has, Levent Karan, and Lecturer Dr. Batın Demircan. Discussions centered on career planning, sectoral experiences, and the transition into professional life.

In the fair area, which hosted nearly 50 companies and institutions, students had the opportunity to apply for internships and job positions while engaging one-on-one with industry representatives to take significant steps toward their future careers. The event was particularly noteworthy for its contribution to the students' social transcripts.
