Marketing Program Students Attend Training on Expanding into Global Markets
Students from the Marketing and Advertising Department at Balıkesir University’s Balıkesir Vocational School recently participated in a vital training program tailored to current industry demands. The "Expanding into Global Markets and Export Strategies" training, organized by the Balıkesir Chamber of Commerce on March 25, 2026, provided students with both theoretical and practical insights.
During the session, facilitated by instructor Reha Tartıcı of ABİGEM, key topics were explored, including market entry strategies, market research, competitive analysis, PESTEL and SWOT frameworks, and target market selection and positioning. Furthermore, contemporary subjects such as e-commerce, digital marketing, data analysis, international logistics, and risk management were comprehensively addressed.
Students who participated in the training noted that they gained a clearer understanding of the broad scope and strategic significance of industrial marketing. By observing how large-scale firms base their success on building long-term trust and implementing accurate strategies, the students highlighted the decisive role that trust plays in marketing. Additionally, they emphasized the impact that precise analysis and correct target market selection have on successful market entry.
Through this program, students experienced firsthand that success in marketing is not purely sales-oriented; it is achieved through accurate analysis, effective strategy development, and a deep understanding of the target audience.
