Marketing Program Provides Peer Review Support to Tourism and Hotel Management Program
As part of its ongoing commitment to quality assurance and accreditation, the Marketing Program at Balıkesir Vocational School has contributed to the MEDEK accreditation process of the Tourism and Hotel Management Program through a peer review assessment.
The evaluation process, which involved Department Head Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Can Tokmak, Lecturer Nevin Polat, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Fulya Güngör, entailed a detailed examination of the 2025 Self-Assessment Report prepared by the Tourism and Hotel Management Program in accordance with MEDEK accreditation criteria.
The peer review comprehensively analyzed various aspects of the program, including educational activities, curricula, program learning outcomes, industry collaborations, applied training opportunities, and continuous improvement initiatives. The faculty from the Marketing Program identified the program's core strengths while offering constructive feedback on areas for further development.
The Marketing Program recognizes the significance of such academic collaborations in fostering a culture of quality assurance and supporting broader accreditation efforts. Accordingly, the department expresses its satisfaction in having contributed to the accreditation journey of the Tourism and Hotel Management Program.
