Marketing Program Convenes Second Advisory Board Meeting of the 2025-2026 Academic Year
The Marketing Program at Balıkesir University’s Balıkesir Vocational School convened its second Advisory Board meeting of the 2025-2026 academic year on March 12, 2026. The session was organized to review activities conducted since October and to plan future educational processes.
The meeting welcomed Department Head Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Can Tokmak, Deputy Department Head Lecturer Nevin Polat, and faculty member and Deputy Director of Balıkesir Vocational School Asst. Prof. Dr. Fulya Güngör. External board members and student representatives included Prof. Dr. Aybeniz Akdeniz Ar, Head of the Business Department at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, as well as department student representative Sıla Yılmaz and first-year student representative Arzu Döne.
Participants reviewed course processes, educational programs, conferences, panels, and internship activities conducted throughout the term. Furthermore, the board exchanged perspectives on general curriculum delivery, initiatives to support industry-oriented student development, and career-focused activities.
The agenda also included updates on the MEDEK accreditation process, with members providing feedback on its current trajectory. Discussions aimed at strengthening industry collaborations and enhancing career counseling services. Notably, Prof. Dr. Aybeniz Akdeniz Ar proposed the preparation of a career counseling form for faculty use, a suggestion that will be evaluated in the coming weeks.
The meeting concluded with a renewed emphasis on the department's commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement. The Balıkesir Vocational School Marketing Program extends its gratitude to the esteemed Advisory Board members for their valuable contributions and participation.
