Marketing and Advertising Students Attend Panel on IBAN Fraud
Our first and second-year students from the Marketing and Advertising Department at Balıkesir Vocational School attended a panel titled "Youth Under the Grip of Cyber and Financial Crimes: IBAN Fraud," organized in collaboration with the Balıkesir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and Balıkesir University. The program was attended by Department Head Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Can Tokmak and Deputy Department Head Lecturer Nevin Polat.
The panel took place at the Atatürk Congress and Culture Center, Şehit Fethi Sekin Conference Hall, with the participation of Balıkesir Governor İsmail Ustaoğlu, Chief Public Prosecutor Abdulkadir Akın, Balıkesir University Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, and various faculty members.
The event highlighted how youth are increasingly targeted by cybercriminal organizations, the misuse of personal IBAN accounts for illegal activities, and common methods of financial fraud in digital spaces. Through this session, students gained crucial insights and developed greater awareness from leading experts in the field.
