Marketing and Advertising Department Students Attend Forum on Current Approaches in Vocational Education
Students from the Marketing and Advertising Department at Balıkesir University’s Balıkesir Vocational School participated in events held as part of the "Forum on Current Approaches in Vocational Education," organized on June 2, 2026, in collaboration with Balıkesir Vocational School and the Balıkesir Technology Transfer Office.
During the forum, our students attended a talk titled "Transportation Vision in the Century of Turkey," delivered by Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Osman Boyraz. They had the opportunity to gain valuable insights regarding transportation, logistics, infrastructure investments, and career planning. Following the talk, department students Sıla Yılmaz, Caner Çanakçı, and Mert Civelek were winners of a raffle, receiving a Tourist Eastern Express tour gift presented by the Deputy Minister.
In the subsequent panels titled "The Importance of University-Industry Collaboration in Vocational Education," our students had the opportunity to listen to evaluations regarding the significance of university-industry cooperation, applied education models, employment prospects, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and the future of the sector. The panels, where academics and industry representatives shared their experiences, made significant contributions to the professional development and career planning of our students.
Additionally, a certificate of appreciation was presented to our faculty member, Asst. Prof. Dr. Fulya Güngör, for her efforts in the realization of the forum.
Throughout the forum, our students had the chance to meet with expert academics, public administrators, and industry representatives, acquiring important knowledge that will contribute to their professional development. The events highlighted the importance of university-industry collaboration while shedding light on the students' career planning.
