Commendation for the Marketing and Advertising Department Regarding Institutional Accreditation
On April 8, 2026, a ceremony was organized at Balıkesir University to express appreciation for the academic and administrative staff who played a vital role in the institutional accreditation process. During the program, which took place in the Rectorate Senate Hall, plaques and certificates of appreciation were presented to those who contributed to this achievement.
The event featured addresses from Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, who highlighted the accomplishments realized throughout the accreditation process and the systemic improvements implemented university-wide. The ceremony was also attended by Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Cevdet Avcıkurt, Prof. Dr. Murat Doğdubay, and Prof. Dr. Fatih Satıl, along with Secretary General Yemliha Yanar.
The Marketing and Advertising Department of Balıkesir Vocational School was recognized for its significant contributions to the institutional accreditation journey. Certificates of appreciation were presented to Balıkesir Vocational School Director and Head of Automotive Technology Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatmagül Tolun, Head of Marketing and Advertising Department Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Can Tokmak, and Head of Computer Programming Department Lecturer Alp İmrek.
The program concluded with the formal presentation of plaques and certificates to all participating staff members.
It is worth noting that in 2025, Balıkesir University earned institutional accreditation for the first time under the Institutional Accreditation Program (KAP) conducted by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK).
